Eastbourne Coaches
Eastbourne Coaches provides coach holidays, day trips and private hire services from Eastbourne and the surrounding area.
Their existing website contained a large and regularly changing selection of tours, but the overall experience needed modernising. Customers needed a simpler way to explore what was available, while the Eastbourne Coaches team needed a practical way to add, update and promote tours themselves.
The new website also needed to work alongside their existing online booking system. Replacing that system wasn’t part of the project, so the website needed to improve the customer journey without disrupting how bookings were already managed behind the scenes.
This wasn’t simply a matter of giving the old website a fresh design.
Eastbourne Coaches offers a wide range of holidays and day trips, with new departure dates being added throughout the year. All of that information needed to be organised clearly without making the website overwhelming for customers or difficult for the team to maintain.
Visitors needed to be able to quickly see what trips were available, when they departed, how much they cost, what was included and how to book.
Eastbourne Coaches also needed control over which tours appeared prominently on the homepage, along with the ability to highlight special offers and seasonal promotions.
I created a bespoke WordPress tour system built around the way Eastbourne Coaches manages its website.
Each tour has its own structured information, including an introduction, price, duration, departure date, what’s included, photographs and booking link. This keeps the information consistent across the website and makes tours considerably easier to add and update.
Tours are organised into clear categories, including UK holidays, Warner Hotel breaks, cruises, continental holidays and day trips. Visitors can filter the listings to find the type of trip they’re interested in, while upcoming tours are automatically displayed in departure-date order.
The team can select particular tours to feature on the homepage and apply labels such as Featured, Special Offer or Seasonal Promotion.
Rather than replacing Eastbourne Coaches’ established booking process, each tour connects to the relevant page within its existing booking platform. Customers benefit from a much clearer browsing experience while the business can continue using the booking system it already relies on.
The entire website was also rebuilt to work properly across desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones, making it easy for customers to explore upcoming trips on any device.
Eastbourne Coaches now has a modern website that presents its holidays and day trips clearly while remaining practical for the team to manage.
Customers can explore upcoming tours more easily, filter the available options and find the important information they need before booking. Behind the scenes, the structured tour system gives Eastbourne Coaches greater control over its content, featured trips and promotions.
Crucially, this was achieved while retaining the company’s existing booking platform, avoiding the disruption and expense of replacing a system already central to the business.
